Denis Alvino, O.M.D., L.Ac Dr. Denis Alvino is a licensed acupuncturist and Doctor of Oriental Medicine with over 35 years of clinical experience in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and integrative wellness care. He has maintained a thriving private practice in South Pasadena, CA since 2001, following years of clinical work at respected centers including Acupuncture Associates of Pasadena, Center for Natural Medicine (Los Angeles), and Center for 21st Century Medicine (Hollywood). Dr. Alvino trained extensively both in the United States and China, earning his Doctorate and Bachelor of Science in Oriental Medicine from Samra University and completing advanced studies at Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China. He is skilled in acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, acupressure, massage, and Sotai techniques, with expertise in pain management, stress reduction, and patient-centered care.
